neuromodulators

Man Getting Botox and Xeomin at Clean Slate Med Spa in Reno, NV
Who are neuromodulators for?

Neuromodulators such as Dysport and Botox have diverse applications and a commendable safety record as a minimally invasive yet potent solution for cosmetic concerns, muscle spasms, and various other conditions. While its most celebrated use is the reduction of facial wrinkles and fine lines, Xeomin's versatility extends to treating conditions like migraines, excessive sweating, and TMJ.

How do neuromodulators work?

Xeomin injections block certain chemical signals from nerves that cause muscles to contract, temporarily limiting or freezing their movement. The most common use of these injections is to relax frown lines, crow's feet/laugh lines, and to slim the jaw.

How many treatments will I need?

It is recommended to receive injections every 3-4 months to remain free of unwanted wrinkles, lines, migraines, sweating, or other issues being treated.

What is included in a Botox/Dysport treatment?

Most patients find the treatment to be nearly painless, but we offer prescription skin numbing, icing, and facial massage tools for maximum comfort.

Are there side effects or downtime?

You can expect to have some tenderness at the injection sites. Bruising can also occur in some instances. It is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise for the following 24 hours and avoid laying down 4 hours after treatment.

“Dr. Jie and Stephanie are fantastic! They were everything you would want: friendly, professional, very communicative about the products, procedure and outcomes - and fun, too! I was very happy with the process, and the care for not causing pain - it didn’t hurt at all. And a week later, I am very happy with the results - noticeably smoother skin, especially on my forehead and around my eyes."
